Here is one of the wave pools at a waterpark we went to. The waves were claimed to be 9' but I think some were taller. Judge for yourself. It was at Mt. Olympus in Wisconsin Dells.

Fun in the Dells

Here are a few pictures of our family in the Dell's of Wisconsin. We had a fun time, was nice to get away for the week. I think I was waterlogged though.

This is in reply to Tess Rineharts' question in the previous post on Lake Delton.

If you look on the final picture, they are in the process of driving steel plates into the ground just like they did in the levees in New Orleans. The ground that broke away was so saturated with the rainfall, a gap 200x300 was washed away. They will placing rip-rap along the shore reinforced by the steel plates. The Duck driver on our tour said the repair will be done around April, after which the ground can settle during the winter and he said the lake should be filled then. Amazingly, the refill will only take 2 weeks. As you can tell by the first 2 photos, there is a small creek running through the dry lake bed now. These small pictures do not do the view justice. You need to click on them to see a better view.
