What was so nasty can become so beautiful. The ice storm that hit the Quad Cities late Monday and all day Tuesday really didn't amount to much except alot of rain. What did turn to ice though has been left on the trees and with the bright sun glimmering off of them, they have turned into pieces of winter art. Ansel Adams could not have photographed and Thomas Kincade could not have painted as beautiful as a scene as when you head north over the hill on I-74 in Moline and began to overlook the Mississippi River valley. If it wasn't so cold here, it wouldn't be bad this time of year to live in the Quad Cities. As I said, how can something so nasty become so beautiful?
